Series MP Police Locks are surface-applied. The door does
not need special reinforcement. Securitech does not recommend
factory preparation of holes in most cases. All holes
are to be prepared in the field. If you need the template
for any reason you can print it out from here. Securitech
does not recommend pre-drilling of the doors.

& STRIKE PREP TEMPLATES
Securitech control trim
can be used with mortise locks of all manufacturers. The
critical relationship between the Securitech trim and
the mortise lock is the hub location. All trim |
measurements are related
to this location.
BEFORE PREPARING
THE DOOR AND FRAME:
Confirm which series mortise lock is to be used!
A) Select The Mortise Lock to Be Used:
- STANDARD SECURITECH
MORTISE LOCK ("A" SERIES)
Use the 9000SFA
template with all 90XX (9010, 9012, 9020, 9022,
9030, 9032, 9034) locks that are to be installed on
a wide stile door. This template will allow you to prepare
for the strike and mortise cutout. Backset is 2-3/4"
- SPECIAL MINI MORTISE LOCK FOR MEDIUM STILE DOORS OR GATES
Use the 9000SFM
template with all 90XX (9010-MML, 9012-MML, 9020-MML,
9022-MML, 9030-MML, 9032-MML, 9034-MML) series locks
that are to be installed on a medium stile door or gate.
Minimum rail size is 3"
- SPECIAL NARROW
STILE LOCK FOR NARROW STILE ALUMINUM DOORS OR GATES
(2" RAIL)
Use the 9000SF-NLS
template with all 90XX (9010-GG, 9012-GG, 9020-GG, 9022-GG,
9030-GG, 9032-GG, 9034-GG) series locks that are to
be installed on a narrow stile door. Backset is 1-3/8"
- SPECIAL "SARGENT" MORTISE
LOCKS:
Use
the 9000SFS
template with all 90XX (9010, 9012, 9020, 9022,
9030, 9032, 9034) locks that are to be installed on
a wide stile door. This template will allow you to prepare
for the strike and mortise cutout. Backset is 2-3/4"
