.KEY SWITCH FUNCTIONS (BY OTHERS)

EXTERIOR KEY SWITCH

- Releases electromagnet on main entry door for entry into facility
- Timed release (typically 5 seconds)
- Timer adjustable within power supply

INTERIOR KEY SWITCH

- Activates electric bolt retraction on panic devices
- Bolts remain retracted until released by key switch
Power supply for system also required. Mortise cylinders (to match building's keying system required.)

OPERATING INFORMATION
START-OF-DAY ENTRY

Key is inserted and rotated in exterior keyswitch, then removed. Activates timer for 5 second electromagnetic lock release (time is field adjustable).

Key is inserted and rotated in panic bar cylinder. Retracts latch and allows door to be opened (while electromagnet is released by timer).

Pull door open and remove key.

Door relocks behind person entering and remains in locked mode until another action is taken.

DAYTIME REMOTE RELEASE MODE

Key is inserted and rotated in interior keyswitch, then removed. Activates electric bolt retraction; panic bar remains in normal position, but bolts are retracted. Door is secured by electromagnet only.

To allow entry: Person in office responds to intercom and presses door release button. Electromagnets are released momentarily as button is depressed.

To cancel mode & return to locked condition: Insert key & rotate in interior keyswitch.
OPEN FACILITY MODE (ENTRY WITHOUT REMOTE - PUSH/PULL)

Key is inserted and rotated in keyed dogging cylinder on panic bar, then removed. Panic bar is held down. Latches are retracted and electromagnets released.

Repeat for each door to be converted to push/pull operation.

To cancel mode & relock door: Insert key and rotate to release panic bar. Latches and electromagnet lock door.
