How
Does It Work?
The VC Option consists
of a modified Securitech automatic deadbolt multi-point
mechanism and a surface-mounted housing with a sliding
lever on the interior of the door. When the lever is
up, the lock functions as a single-point lockset. Sliding
the lever downward (when the door is closed) instantly
projects the top and bottom deadbolts. These deadbolts
will continue to project each time the door closes until
the lever is slid back up, at which time the lock will
operate in single-point mode.
