Signal Lock Wiring Information
Signal lock wiring travels from the access control or alarm system to the door frame, through a power transfer (hinge, door cord, etc.) and through the door to the interior trim, exterior trim and lock body, as needed.

The switch is located within the trim. Movement of the lever activates the switch as the latch is retracted - "No Special Knowledge" or action is required for "Request-To-Exit".
Signal trim typically provides fail-safe exiting at all times and fail-secure entry. Re-entry models may be used to meet stairwell and code requirements.
Signal lock mortise lock models begin with the "SM" designation. All feature interior R-T-E switch and exterior electric release. "E" designates Electrolatch function. "M" designates Maglatch function. The most popular switch combinations are listed in the chart on the opposite side. Additional info is located below.

Securitech does not provide cylinders for use with LX trim. Standard 1 1/8" to 1 ¼" cylinders may be used. Contact factory with other requirements.
