How Does A
Signal Lock Work?
Designed for use with access control systems, Securitech
Signal Locks provides safety, security and notification.
Signal Locks overcome security breaches in electric
strikes and solve fire-code and life-safety problems.
Free-exiting is possible at all times.
To enter, the access control system can momentarily
energize the lever or the key may be used to release
the lever. |
Safety:
When exiting, the lever activates an internal switch
which sends a signal to the access control system
to silence (R-T-E) or generate a local alarm. |
Security:
Heavy-duty mortise deadlatch is provided. The optional
latch position is monitored by a switch to prevent
taping the latch back. |
Notification:
An optional key usage switch sends a signal to the
access control system to let it know that a key has
been used in place of the access control system. |
Durability:
Electric release in the trim (not strike or lock body)
and slip-clutch exterior lever handle ensure years
of trouble-free operation. |
|
|
| |
Optional
"Key Usage Switch: sends a distinct signal
if a key is used for entry in place of access control
card. |
