Electric Interface
Exterior lever handle may be released by an impulse generated by
an intercom, access control system, digital keypad, remote pushbutton,
or other device. 24vC and 24vDC solenoids are available.
Keyed Lever Handle Unit
The exterior trim may be released by key or electric release.
Maglatch series trim also contain switches to release electromagnets.
Free-Moving Lever Handle Unit
The interior trim can be depressed at any time to retract the
latch or release the electromagnet (Maglatch & Arte).
Re-Entry Function
Stairwell fire towers require re-entry function to meet local
fire codes. Exterior lever handle units may be locked on the stairwell
side, but a signal from the fire alarm system must release the
locked lever to allow re-entry to the floor in the event of an
emergency. Reverse action DC solenoids are used within the trim.
Slip-Clutch
To prevent vandalism and forced entry, keyed exterior lever handle
units contain an internal spring-loaded slip-clutch which "breaks
away" when forced downward, but does not become damaged or
disabled. It may simply be lifted back into it's proper (horizontal)
position without any special effort or tool.
Movement Restrictors
Free-moving lever handle units contain built-in handle movement
limiters, which prevent using the lock mechanism to stop the downward
lever movement. This lessens wear-and-tear to the lock from everyday
usage.
Power Supplies
Securitech offers a wide range of power supplies for the Maglatch
and Electrolatch series. On "AC" Enduralatch and Electrolatch
locksets 24vAC, 30va transformers may be used. On "DC"
units, the access control system 24vDC output should be sufficient
or a 24vDC transformer would be required.
Entry & Exit Control Systems
Many environments (money counting rooms, jewelry store, secured
psychiatric wards, etc.) require two-door interlock systems to
restrict and control entry and exiting. Securitech's dual-locking
technology allows for the creation of custom systems to meet standard
and special end-user needs.
